R. Edward Hudgens, III, DMD
Dr. Eddie Hudgens is a highly skilled restorative and cosmetic dentist, proudly serving the Charleston, South Carolina community through his practice, HudgensDental. With over 25 years of experience, he is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to families.
Dr. Hudgens earned his bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of South Carolina and completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 1990. Following dental school, he enhanced his expertise with a two-year residency at MUSC, where he honed his skills in various specialties, including periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.
Since entering private practice in 1996, Dr. Hudgens has built a reputation for offering comprehensive care in a welcoming environment. His extensive training allows him to address a wide range of dental needs in one convenient location, making it easier for families and individuals to receive the care they need.
A resident of the Charleston area since 1986, Dr. Hudgens is deeply rooted in the community and values the relationships he has built with his patients. His practice is known for its friendly atmosphere and commitment to positive patient experiences.
Dr. Jenna Benson
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Dr. Jenna Benson is proud to call the Palmetto State home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Clemson University, where a dental mission trip to Ecuador inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry and confirmed her passion for helping others feel confident and cared for. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina and went on to complete a General Practice Residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. During her residency, she received advanced training in restorative dentistry, implants, root canals, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, cosmetic treatments, and the care of medically complex patients.
Dr. Benson believes dentistry is about building trust and helping patients feel comfortable every step of the way. She is committed to continuing education to ensure her patients receive the highest quality care. She is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
She is excited to be back in South Carolina with her soon-to-be husband, Gray, and their two dogs, Gracie and Woody. Outside the office, she enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is honored to join this respected practice and looks forward to continuing its tradition of excellent patient care.
